Exception thrown when calling SharePoint adapters

Dec 7, 2011 at 2:53 PM

I've installed the list adapters via the MSI file on a target server.  A package was deployed to the target server that uses the list adapters, both source and destination.  When the package is executed I get the following exception:

The managed pipeline component
 "Microsoft.Samples.SqlServer.SSIS.SharePointListAdapters.SharePointListSource,
  SharePointListAdapters,
  Version=1.0.0.0,
  Culture=neutral,
  PublicKeyToken=933a2c7edf82ac1f"
 could not be loaded.

The exception was:
 Could not load file or assembly
 'SharePointListAdapters,
  Version=1.0.0.0,
  Culture=neutral,
  PublicKeyToken=933a2c7edf82ac1f'
or one of its dependencies.

The system cannot find the file specified..

Anyone have any idea on this?

can you provide any more details? What version of SQL Are you using? x64 or x86?

And you're certain that the machine with SSIS Executing the job is the one that has the adapters installed?

I'm using SQL Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition (x64) running on Windows 2008 R2.

Yes, the adapters are installed on the machine running the integration services package.

Is this a standard installation, or do you customize installation folders / locations?

Probably custom.  Are the components hard coded to a path?

No, the path is pulled from the registry.

64 bit SharePoint for 2008 R2 gets installed into the folders:

  •      HKMK\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\100\SSIS\Setup\DTSPath

Can you check the registry and that location, and see if you find under it:

  • Connections\SharePointListConnectionManager.dll
  • PipelineComponents\SharePointListAdapters.dll

Components are in the correct path and the DLL files are there.

 When you asked about custom vs typical install, I reinstalled with typical settings.

Same problem, complains about not being able to find/upgrade the adapter.

We are running up against a project deadline and need to find a solution as soon as possible.  I know this is open source and support is provided gratis but if there is anything you can point me to to help get this resolved it would be greatly appreciated.
