SharePoint list adapters: a likely amount of data limitation

Jul 20, 2009 at 9:17 AM

I'm using SharePoint list adapters for several weeks in order to read from a SQL db and then to write in a MOSS list.

In my db I have some tens-thousand of data rows potentially to write inside my MOSS list. From some days

it seems that the related SSIS package doesn't write on the list while the db is fed from another data source.

I suspect that there is a limitation about these adapters and the amount of data to manage.

I want to investigate deeply this issue, but I want to know the experience anyone's.

Could my problem depend on these adapters? Many thanks

I'd need to know how many rows. I've loaded tens of thousands of rows as well. The adapters use batching and the SP apis, so if your batch is set at a good size, there are no known limitations for this.  Is there any issue with your SP site availability? I can't really tell what the issue could be from this - sorry. Do you get any errors at all?
