Updating DB with newly inserted id

Hi, I am developing a data flow wich has SQL as a source an Sharepoint as a target. After the adapter reads a row in the SQL table and creates a new item in the SP list, is there any way of get hold of the new id and update a column in the original DB row? Thank you very much, Manuel

Not directly, but if you key the rows with some sort of unique identifier, you could have a dataflow which reads the data back out after inserting it and gets the ID. You can structure your CAML to include data clauses if you want a very incremental process, and you can filter the columns to just bring back your key and the new id.

Using the core DLL SharePointUtility, you would get the output from the update/insert with the IDs it inserts, but it is not something exposed in the SSIS Adapters.
